Exciting opportunity to
develop and manage ground-breaking adoption program in
Africa, and grow existing program in South America.
Incumbent will be responsible for working closely with
overseas staff, government officials, and prospective
adoptive families to maintain smooth operation of adoption
programs and enhance opportunities for orphans overseas.
Candidate will work
closely with a dedicated team of child welfare professionals
at a respected Upper East Side non-profit adoption agency
with more than 100 years of experience in the adoption
community. Some international travel required.
MSW degree or other
comparable graduate degree preferred. However,
individuals with related experience in international
affairs, adoption, or child welfare will be considered.
Bilingual skills in English and French are necessary for
this position. Knowledge of Spanish a plus.

India/Nepal Program
Coordinator
MAPS, a well-established,
multi-service, non-profit agency, with Domestic and
International adoption programs, residential programs and
shelter services, is seeking applicants for the position of
India/Nepal Program Coordinator. This position
is located in our Portland, Maine office.
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Social Work or Human Services related field is
required; prior adoption work and management experience,
preferred. Responsibilities involve management of a
caseload of adoptive applicants, from application to placement,
by assisting with every facet of their process—from providing
individual guidance on dossier instruction, to sharing child
referral information, to advising on travel preparation.
Position also involves acting as liaison with in-country staff,
orphanage directors, partner agencies and U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services/Department of Homeland Security. The ideal
candidate will possess exceptional communications skills, strong
multitasking capabilities, and be extremely detail oriented.

Inter-country Adoption Case Managers
Wide Horizons for Children, one of the largest, non-profit
international adoption and child welfare agencies located near
Boston, Massachusetts, is currently accepting applications for
Inter-country Adoption Case Managers. The person in this role is
responsible for maintaining and coordinating all aspects of a
designated intercountry adoption program. This includes some
administrative work, acting as a liaison with international
representatives and maintaining knowledge of governmental laws and
regulations. The successful candidate must also have the
ability to support and counsel families through the adoption
process, particularly during waiting periods. The
position requires excellent writing and communication skills, and
someone that is an enthusiastic team player with problem solving and
client service skills. Previous counseling experience
required. Experience in Eastern Europe, Africa or Asia preferred.
Russian, French
or Mandarin language skills helpful.
