A licensed, non-profit child welfare organization certified by a
competent authority to assist birth parents and adoptive parents
with the placement of a child.
Child Advocacy Organization
A
non-profit organization which advances the cause of permanency
through advocating/lobbying for sound
child-centric public policy.
Family Support Organization
A non-profit organization which
educates,
advocates for, or otherwise supports
birth families, adoptive families and adoptees.
Medical and Health Care
Organizations
Non-profit organizations which provide permanency services in the
form of medical services, medical research, or
medical educational services to vulnerable children, birth families, adoptive families,
or adoptees.
Home Study Provider
A licensed
non-profit organization certified by a competent government
authority whose primary work is conducting
home studies to assure the well-being of the child in the
homes of adoptive families, and to assess the readiness of the
family to adopt.
Orphan Care Organization
A non-profit
organization which provides education,
healthcare, nutrition, vocational or other support services
to orphans and vulnerable children.
Professional Service Provider
Individuals which provide a specialized
professional service, including but not
restricted to lawyers, clinicians, counselors,
and social workers who are not employed by an
organization, which meets the membership requirements for
organizations, nor employed by an organization that has voluntarily
terminated its membership or had its membership denied, revoked or
suspended.
